Controlling Weeds Common to Piedmont Pastures Program (2 “X” Credits Offered)

— Written By Chris Jeffcoat

I will be giving a program on “Controlling Weeds Common to Piedmont Pastures” on September 24, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Forsyth County Extension Office. There will be 2 (N, O, D, X) pesticide credits offered for those attending the meeting.

During the meeting, we will review common weeds that we may find growing here in Stokes and Forsyth Counties in our pastures and control options for these weeds. I will discuss various herbicides labeled for use in pasture and when we should be applying these herbicides. We will also discuss the relationship between controlling weeds in the summer and fall and the reduction of weed populations in the spring.

To RSVP for the program by September 23, 2013, please call the Stokes County Cooperative Extension Office at 593-8179. There is no charge for the program.
