Special programming for beginning farmers includes: finding land, farm business finances, access to community-based capital, using body mechanics and tools to stay healthy longer, and season extension techniques. Other conference workshops cover cutting edge issues in sustainable agriculture, including organic weed control, soil fertility, pasture-based livestock, food safety and processing, and direct marketing.
