Holiday Taste of Stokes

Stokes County 4-Hers have been learning cooking skills, kitchen safety and table etiquette for the last few months in preparation for the Stokes County Arts Council’s “Holiday Taste of Stokes.”  Wendi Spraker, owner of Loaves and Dishes in collaboration with Patti Snyder, Stokes County Extension Family & Consumer Sciences agent and Taylor Furr, Stokes County Extension 4-H & Youth Development agent.

4-Hers will be cooking and serving a delicious meal at The Arts Place of Stokes on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

Holiday Taste of Stokes will consist of appetizers, a crisp green salad with local bacon, pecans, clementines, and blood oranges and white grapefruit vinaigrette followed by a creamy mushroom soup. The main course will be slow-roasted beef with garlic sauce served over mashed red potatoes and parsnips with roasted brussel sprouts and sautéed cauliflower, followed by handmade, delicious desserts.
