Attention Dairy Farmers (current and recently sold out): there is a section of the new farm bill that you need to be aware of. N.C. Cooperative Extension of Chatham County and Farm Service Agency will be teaming up for a regional informational meeting on July 24 to discuss this section. We will answer questions like; What is the Dairy Margin Coverage Program, Who is eligible for coverage, What are the expected premiums and payouts, How long can I be covered, How do I sign up. We also hope to use the Decision Tool on the USDA website to give you a personal, farm-specific breakdown of your premium and payout.
