Thank you to all those who picked up a Youth Gardening Kit! We are happy to announce that we gave out 88 kits in Walnut Cove, 57 in Danbury and 133 in King. The remaining 10 kits were given out the following week at the Walnut Cove Farmers Market. If you picked up a kit, please complete this survey: go.ncsu.edu/stokesgardens.
Our office is excited to announce that the take-home gardening kits for all youth will be available on Thursday!
The gardening kits are first come, first served. We will not hold any kits aside for anyone. Each child may receive one kit. The child does not have to be present at the time of pick up.
Pick up times and locations:
- Thursday, June 4, Walnut Cove Farmer’s Market (beside Main Street Diner), 2–6 p.m.
- Friday, June 5, N.C. Cooperative Extension of Stokes County office – Danbury, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Saturday, June 6, Farms to Families Market -King (across from City Hall), 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
We only have 100 kits available per site. Remember, first come, first served. If we are able to provide this program again in the near future, we will be sure to let everyone know.
