Food supply chains have been disrupted with the spread of COVID-19. Luckily, we have a robust local food system in North Carolina where we can get a wide variety of food while supporting our local economies. Our farmers and food supply chain workers are working hard to pivot their marketing plans to meet the demand for food. Across the state, farmers are selling food directly to consumers to meet the demand when grocery store shelves are empty. Many of these farmers are selling out of products themselves.
With the change in marketing plans for the season, N.C. Cooperative Extension of Stokes County is promoting local farmers (see below). If you would like to add your farm, please complete the Google Form and your information will be added to our list.
