Stokes County 4-H Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Join us for our 3rd annual pumpkin decorating contest! NEW this year - ONLINE SUBMISSIONS! We are moving to an online entry form and will not be taking live submissions this year. We hope this will encourage more youth to participate!
Age Divisions
- Cloverbud – 5-7 years old
- Junior - 8-10 years old
- Intermediate - 11-13 years old
- Senior - 14-18 years old
Age division is determined by the youth’s age on January 1, 2026.
Rules
- Pumpkin must be completed by the 4-H’er. Enroll in 4-H at 4honline.com
- One pumpkin per 4-H’er
- You must submit at least one photo of your pumpkin - max of 3
- 4-H Themes, 4-H Slogans and 4-H logos are permitted but NOT required
- Pumpkins reflecting vulgar, controversial, social, religious, or political opinions or statements will not be accepted
- No copyrighted images
Three Categories:
- Original Carving - Youth can carve any type of pumpkin/gourd.
- Template Carving - Youth can carve any type of pumpkin/gourd.
- Decoration Only - You can attach any appropriate item to your pumpkin to make it amazing! Paint, markers, ribbon, and more!
Prizes will be awarded to the First Place winners of Juniors, Intermediates, and Seniors. Participation will be awarded to Cloverbuds. Judges’ decisions are final. Judging will be completed without 4-H’er names attached. Photos of all decorated pumpkins will be submitted to the Stokes County 4-H Facebook Page for judging of the “Fan Favorite”. All First Place winners in each age category and the “Fan Favorite” pumpkin will be displayed on the Facebook page on Halloween.
