Master Gardener Volunteers of Stokes County

In Stokes County, Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers work with N.C. Cooperative Extension to provide gardeners with unbiased, research-based information on gardens, lawns, and landscapes.

Under the guidance of our Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent, volunteers complete a 40-hour training program, pass an examination, and complete a 40-hour internship. To remain active in the program, volunteers must log a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service and 10 hours of continuing education each year.

Classes will be held October 19, 2021, through November 18, 2021, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Stokes County Cooperative Extension Office. The $150 will cover the Master Gardener State Program Fee, Extension Master Garder Handbook, and supplies for the class.
