- There is no minimum amount of wool to participate.
- Wool must be DRY, with no berries, and should be relatively clean.
- No black or colored fiber will be accepted.
- Wool will be weighed at drop-off and you will receive a receipt.
- Prices in 2024 were:
- $0.15 for short fibers
- $0.30 white and black-face
- $1.20 Merino, Rambouillet, and other premium wools.
- Payments will be mailed to you in a few weeks.
- No alpaca wool.
Producers will need to complete items 1-4 of this form, and sign and date 5a-5c on the first page prior to losing beneficial interest in their wool. Once they lose beneficial interest, the producer will complete page 4 Part M, N and sign and date Part P 83A & 85; FSA will need a copy of the receipt showing how many lbs. of wool sold, and head count total.
If your farm has never been to the FSA, you will also need to complete an AD-2047 form.
