It's time for Summer!
Stokes County 4-H is excited for our summer line-up! Please read over everything carefully and pay attention to all details. All youth and families will be required to read over the Stokes County 4-H Summer Fun Guidebook.
We have a full list of opportunities for youth ages 5-18 to participate in, such as Cloverbud Camp, Fiber Fun, 4-H STEM Camp, Global Gourmet, Stokes County Government Camp, and Life Skills.
Registration for the 2024 Stokes County 4-H Summer Fun program will begin May 1st! All youth must be a 4-H member to participate, so NOW is the time to make sure your 4-HOnline profile is up to date and submitted BEFORE May 1st. We encourage you to complete this process before registration opens, so you can go into the system and register for camps right away as they become available. Visit
4HOnline.com to update your child’s profile, or to create a profile if you’re new.
Youth will only be guaranteed a spot in a camp once they have paid in full! Families have 3 business days to make their payments. For example, if payments are being mailed, they must be postmarked within 3 business days of your registration date (if I submit my child's registration on May 3rd, my payment must be postmarked by May 6th, or I must bring payment to the office by May 6th). You may mail in cash or check to Stokes County 4-H PO Box 460, Danbury, NC 27016, or bring it by the office, 700 N Main Street, Danbury, NC 27016 (located in the old Danbury School, behind River Street). Please make checks payable to Stokes County 4-H.
Ages for camps are based on the child's age as of January 1st of the current year.

How do I register for 4-H Summer Camps? *These are screenshots from 2022, but the same process still applies to the 2024 Summer Fun Registration.
1. Are you enrolled in 4-HOnline? If not, please visit
4-H Online and create a family account and enroll TODAY! If you are, sign in and select your child's profile.
2. Click the "Events" tab on the left, then click the blue "Register for new event" button.
3. Scroll to find the camps you wish to sign up for and begin your Summer Fun registration. Camps will only show up if you qualify for them (ie. age restrictions).
4. Begin the registration process by selecting the camps your child would like to attend. Complete each section including questions, consents, and the confirmation page.
5. Once you've completed the consent page, you will be sent to this page. Please click the blue "Pay by Check" button!
6. Then, you will confirm that you will be submitting payment via check (or cash).
7. Once you've completed those steps, you'll see the blue "Next" button.
8. You'll finally land on the confirmation page where you can review everything and then hit the green "Finish" button. A "Registration Submitted" email will then be sent to you with directions on how to make a payment.
Camp Details
Here you will find details about each camp, as well as whether the camp is full. You must register for a camp in your 4-HOnline profile! Please note each camp is a drop-off and pick-up camp. You will drop your child off at the designated location at the designated time, and pick-up at the same location and designated time. These details will be sent out a week prior to each camp.
CLOSED - Life Skills 4-H Camp - Five spots remaining
Everyone needs to learn basic life skills! Come have fun with hands-on experiences learning more about cooking, budgeting, pet care, doing laundry, sewing, gardening, car maintenance, working with tools, learning first aid, and more. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration closes May 31st!

- Time: 8a-4p
- Ages: 9 and up
- Location: Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Stokes County Cooperative Extension (700 N Main Street Danbury, NC 27016). We will be traveling as a group to Guilford County (Greensboro) each day.

CLOSED - Stokes County Government 4-H Camp - 12 spots remainingCome learn from the Sheriff's Department and what their general duties are by touring the office and the courtroom, learning from Patrol Officers and what they do, what they drive, etc. We will talk about what happens in the jail and what the Detention Officer's responsibilities are. There will be a discussion about the dangers of drugs and about investigations, as well as various other topics. Youth will also learn from the Register of Deeds - Brandon Hooker. He will give us a tour of other county departments, such as the Tax Administration Office and Register of Deeds, just to name few. Youth will not be allowed to bring their cell phones in the government center when we tour the Sheriff's Department and courtroom. Please communicate this to your child before camp. Snacks are included, please bring a lunch. Registration closes June 11th.

- Location: Stokes County Cooperative Extension (700 N Main Street Danbury, NC 27016). We will travel to the Stokes County Government Center on tour days.

Fiber Fun 4-H Camp - Two spots remainingLet’s have some Fiber Fun! Youth will be crafting with fibers by dying silk scarves, felting soap, and making handmade paper! Angela King will be the instructor. Snacks included, please bring a lunch! This camp will be held on July 9th from 9am-2pm for ages 9-18 at the Extension Office. Registration closes on July 2nd.

FULL - Cloverbud 4-H Camp - Zero spots remaining - Join the waitlist by calling 336-593-8179.Learn all about 4-H! There will be activities related to the 4 H's (head, heart, hands, and health) each day. This program includes STEM, agriculture, baking, tie-dying, and more! This camp is for our Cloverbuds (youth ages 5-8 years old). This camp is TWO DAYS - July 10th and 11th - from 9am-2pm. Snacks will be provided, but youth will need to pack a lunch. Registration closes July 2nd.

Global Gourmet 4-H Camp - Four spots remainingLearn about different cultures and create delicious meals from countries such as Mexico, Africa, Japan, Italy, Greece, and Germany as you explore food history, customs, and nutrition to better understand our world. Lunch and snacks included. Registration closes July 9th.

4-H STEM Camp - Six spots remainingThis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Camp is like no other you have ever been to! You will get a chance to use multiple types of robotics, and coding programs. You will get to use Junk Drawer Robotics where you will build a catapult then you will move onto more advanced robotics curricula where you get to build with Legos! We will be using Lego WeDo, Spike, Dash & Dot and Sphero. Indoor drones will be used and challenges of course! We will have Digital Literacy experts come with the computer lab and teach a class which will be a ton of fun! Lunch and snacks will be provided. Instructors are North Central District 4-H Agents. Registration is due July 18th.

- Time: 8:30a-4:30p
- Ages: 9-15
- Location: Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Stokes County Cooperative Extension (700 N Main Street Danbury, NC 27016). We will be traveling as a group to Rockingham County (Reidsville) each day.

NC 4-H CongressJoin us for four days in Raleigh with youth from around the county. You will elect new State 4-H Officers, participate in awesome workshops, hear from engaging speakers, and much more. Details are still being finalized, but they will be released soon. ** Contact Taylor to register for Congress!

- Ages: 13 & up as of January 1st
- Location: NCSU - Raleigh, NC
- Cost: TBD once details are sent from NC 4-H

All participants and families must read through the Summer Fun Guidebook. All youth who participate in any 4-H activity must abide by the NC 4-H Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
