North Carolina and Stokes County Farm Bureau have several scholarship and other opportunities for youth available. There are currently two scholarships:

  • The R. Flake Shaw Scholarship is available to students attending university or community college. Applications are due by March 7th. For more information and to apply, visit: https://www.ncfb.org/r-flake-shaw-scholarship/
  • Stokes County Farm Bureau is also offering a scholarship to any Stokes County resident pursuing a 2 year, 4 year, or graduate degree in agriculture. Applications are due by March 15th. For more information and to apply, please call Stokes County Farm Bureau at 336-591-5534.

NC Farm Bureau will be hosting the Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) for rising high school seniors interested in careers in agriculture June 12-17, either on the campus of NC State University or NC A&T State University.
