Cooperative Extension
to Host Beekeeper Meeting

In response to our well-attended introductory class So You Want to Get Some Honeybees, Stokes Cooperative Extension will host a meeting to gauge interest among Stokes beekeepers and aspiring beekeepers in forming a group to meet regularly in order to share beekeeping knowledge, learn more about beekeeping, and mentor beginner beekeepers. Beekeepers of all skill and interest levels are welcome. The meeting will include discussion concerning participant beekeeping history and experience to date, as well as time for brainstorming group goals and expectations. This will be an opportunity for your input into what type of group would be beneficial here in the county, what sort of services the group could offer members, and the next steps needed to make our group a reality.   The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 6:30 PM at the Stokes Cooperative Extension office at 700 North Main Street in Danbury. The meeting will be facilitated by Randy Fulk, Stokes County Cooperative Extension Horticulture Agent and local beekeeper William Kiser. Sandwiches and soft drinks will be provided.     For more information contact-   Randy Fulk Stokes Cooperative Extension Horticulture Agent 336-593-8179 randy_fulk@ ncsu.edu
