This page is designated for Thursday’s with Taylor series! Each Thursday, our 4-H Agent will provide content for our youth, such as fun, at-home activities you can do as a family (or on our own) during this time. We hope you will enjoy and participate!
July 30, 2020 – Thursday’s with Taylor – Mason Jar Herb Garden
Come learn how to make the at home mason jar herb garden! Find your favorite herb seeds, a jar or two, some soil and a handful of small rocks. This is all you’ll need to make your very own herb garden! Have fun!

Today’s video was a LIVE video on our Facebook page! You can watch it online. We discussed why it is important for us to drink water, and found an activity for the whole family! This activity shows you how much water you should be drinking and how to keep track of it. Give it a try! Miss Taylor will be!
May 14, 2020 – Thursday’s with Taylor – The Water Cycle at Work
Today’s video is a reading of the book The Water Cycle at Work, provided by NC Farm Bureau, Ag in the Classroom. Typically, during this time the Extension Office helps Soil and Water with Environmental Awareness Days. Since we were unable to hold the event this year, I wanted to provide a short lesson on the Water Cycle. We have a couple activities that we would love for you to do. It’s natural for use to view things in a “normal” viewpoint. We view things in a standing position and often the same in photos. But what if we viewed things in a different viewpoint?
