What is Safe Plates for Food Handlers?
Safe Plates for Food Handlers is a short training that covers basic information on safe food handling. This program covers temperature control, personal hygiene and health, preventing cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitizing and allergens
Who should attend?
This program would be ideal for anyone working in restaurants,
hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other food establishments. This course is also appropriate for volunteer and temporary food handlers, such as those working at soup kitchens or fundraising events.
This 4-hour class is free, and taught in partnership with Stokes County Environmental Health.
Classes can be held at your business or the Stokes County Cooperative Extension Auditorium (700 N Main Street, Danbury NC).**This class does NOT replace the Certified Food Manager training course or exam. This certification is gained through the Safe Plates for Food Managers training, listed above.**
